Sitting at my desk right after my everyday Sambar Rice Lunch, my phone suddenly lit up with a notification. I peered down to see a message from our performance marketer Legendary Mr. Arjun Ravikumar, “It is 2.8M+ Registered Users officially 🥰✌🏻”

2800000+ Users, You gotta be kidding me!

Sree, CEO – 8 Spades Advertising

He didn’t actually say this line, but that’s the closest possible reaction I would be expecting If he was there.

It was almost 3 years ago that I wrote ads for some brands for the first time and I wrote new ads for 100 brands for 100 consecutive days.

My father thought I was stupid. 12 pass, will a village schooled boy get anything in advertising and marketing? I know they don’t read my blog but; Dad, I did it!

To be honest, When I saw the message My jaw dropped. A seven-fold growth in just two years! I was on cloud nine, elated and ecstatic beyond belief.

It is some sorta of achievement.

As a copywriter in the agency, I’m always on my toes, constantly juggling client meetings, brainstorming sessions, and tight deadlines. Sometimes so tight deadlines that you have to deliver the copy by 18:00 for the brief you got at 17:45 on Friday evening.

My responsibility is to craft persuasive copy that would engage and convert our target audience. But it isn’t a cakewalk. It is more about comprehending the client’s brand, tone, and message.

It is all about collaborating with designers, developers, and marketers to create a seamless campaign that would deliver results par excellence.

Well, Well, well. We did it Arun, Sree, Arjun.

The day had begun like any other, but the atmosphere was charged with excitement today. The performance marketing team (Rakshit & Arjun and Arun) had put in their blood and sweat on a campaign for the past 2 years, and the fruits of their labor were finally here.

I wished the news of our success could have traveled like wildfire, spreading euphoria throughout the agency. High fives could have been exchanged. Anyways. All this is fleeting. The important is WE DID IT.

Did I tell you the Client’s name?

No.?

It’s Khiladi Adda.

It’s a fantasy gaming app. You can play skill-based games to make some pocket money or also can make pockets full of money.

Throughout the day, I had 3 client meetings, each one presenting its own set of unique challenges. I received requests for revisions, questions about the content calendar, and concerns about the delivery of the ad creatives. But I relished the opportunity to collaborate with the clients, listen to their needs, and come up with solutions that would surpass their expectations.

As I wrapped up my work and headed home, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and pride. The Day was fast-paced, challenging, and at times, chaotic. But it was also incredibly rewarding.

I am eagerly looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.

Maybe a campaign brief for 3 Million User Registrations!
Who knows?
